What’s in a name
Welcome to the Fernwood Neighborhood Association (FNA). Although many of us have lovingly referred to our area of Traverse City as SoFo (South of Fourteenth), the Fernwood name has historical significance as the original name for the southwest area of Traverse City. The founding members of the FNA decided to reintroduce the Fernwood name through our neighborhood association.
Association intent
The Fernwood Neighborhood Association is dedicated to fostering a strong sense of community and connection. We organize and host various events throughout the year such as community clean-ups, block parties, and cultural celebrations. By actively engaging with our neighbors, we aim to create a safe and vibrant neighborhood where everyone feels welcome.
